Product feature
Explainer videos are the elevator pitch for the smart phone generation. Building on the premise of the elevator pitch – being able to explain your businesses features and benefits in less than a minute – the explainer video is a short animation that outlines what your business does and how your customers will benefit. Great as a supporting tool for meetings with investors, or to have on your website or smartphone.

Our most recent projects have been to provide presentation materials for Theil Ltd as they launched a new product to enhance security at remote locations.
We created an animated presentation and additional materials for Theil Ltd’s attendance at the Counter Terror Expo at Olympia.
Animated presentation
Theil asked for an animated presentation to show how their intruder detection system works.
They gave us a scenario of intruders breaking into a remote public utility site, and from that we developed an animated presentation which included the intruders, police attendance (including a dog unit and air support) and successful apprehension of the intruders thanks to the capabilities of the detection system.
Corporate materials
While the presentation, which looped on a large HD screen was the star of the show, we also helped Theil produce a range of supporting materials essential for a show of this importance. We created a 3D model of the detection mast and composited it with actual photography to use as a stand banner, on a product sheet and on the Theil website.

About us
Our core team is highly experienced in developing presentations and undertaking research on communication.
We provide a blend of practical experience and knowledge of the theoretical underpinnings needed to produce all the success factors for a compelling presentation. Our core team members are introduced in this section, and we have a wide range of associates specialising in training, video and audio who we draw into projects as required.
Clare Dowland MSc.
Clare Dowland is a director of mindfizz and a qualified Prince2 Practitioner. Clare project manages all our presentation work, liaising with clients and providing regular progress reports to ensure expectations are met. Previous work as a transport consultant involved the planning, management and assessment of many public consultation exercises.
A key element of Clare’s role is also to develop the concept of the presentation – to work with clients to draw out their intentions and objectives and then work with the wider mindfizz team to create the storyboard for the presentation.
James Dowland MSc.
James Dowland is a director of mindfizz and responsible for technical and creative development. He has over 15 years experience, working for a broad range of clients in the public and private sector. His skills include graphic design, animation and multimedia development. James’ qualifications include an MSc in Interactive Multimedia Production and an HND in Photography, Film and Television.
James is the creative force at mindfizz and will draw on his skills and experience to create a visual style that represents your organisation’s image and will engage your customers and stakeholders. We don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all approach’ and this applies to our design.
Barry Smith, Director East Coast Education
East Coast Education (ECE) Ltd provides specialist support services in research, evaluation, consultation and training. ECE Ltd has been trading since 1999 and is based in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Mindfizz and ECE have worked collaboratively on many projects over 7 years, the majority of which involved provision of presentation, consultation and dissemination materials to a broad range of audiences.
Barry brings extensive experience and expertise of stakeholder engagement, public consultation and evaluations having worked in these areas for many years. In addition to developing evaluation methodologies and materials, he is also skilled at running workshops, analysing data and providing robust, evidence based reports and recommendations.
Professor David Greatbatch BA, PhD
In order to provide added value to our clients, we work closely with Professor David Greatbatch who has an international reputation for his research in presentation, public speaking and communication. Over the last twenty-five years he has undertaken a series of studies of the communication techniques used by leading management speakers,
corporate executives, politicians and others to communicate ideas and information, visions, goals and strategies to a diverse array of audiences. Alongside his academic activities, he acts as a communications consultant to organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
